Taking the trim apart is taking a lot longer than I thought. It looks *perfect* when I pull it apart but I have to do all three yards by hand and some of the strings in the middle of the trim are really tiny. I've added the unpulled apart trim to the bottom of the skirt of the dress. So that is 100% done. I just need to add the trim to the bodice, sew the bodice to the skirt, and then it will be done. I also need to finish the apron for this monstrosity. I can still post pictures (because there is progress which means you can see the mustard yellows, earthy browns, and tangerine oranges up against the bright pinks all for yourselves...) but I'll do that tomorrow.
In other news: Miss Ginsie looks ADORABLE! I got her groomed. She has bows on her ears. She looks like a cream puff. :-)
Work is getting interesting. The old unit that I had a TDY with is really excited that they are "kidnapping" me. I know they didn't want to give me back in the first place but it's all kinda funny. I need to talk to my old-soon-to-be-new-again boss about what the exact plans are. Last I heard, we are heading back into downtown come May. I'm hoping that hasn't changed because I really want to go downtown before that and play with the computers like I'm trying to sign up for for a month.....
I am still totally in love with my new truck, Bella. I don't think I can go back to normal radio after having XM radio....ever. It will be too hard. XM radio only fades out in the parking garage...which is why I have a 6 disc cd changer to blast music from. :-)
