I haz a plan!

I know what I want to make tonight. I have enough pink silk to do it. I'm just praying I don't screw either outfit up too badly.

I'm thinking a caraco jacket with a false front (stomacher in the same ivory silk that I used for my petticoat), 1770's style? (Edit: Found what I was thinking of. I couldn't remember where I had seen it...) I'm still playing with ideas right now but I do have a pattern for that already made up (same as my stripy gown just with a shorter skirt!).

With the rest of the silk, I want to do a gown a la Dangerous Beauty style. I have enough odd trims and sheer white material to go with the pink silk. I've done similar styled gowns to this so I know it won't take me more than an hour to sew it all up and get it to looking pretty once it's cut out.

.....I think I can pull at least one of these off tonight and then work on the Khaki skirt as well. hmm....

No, really, I'm working!

Hence why I'm reading articles on cybersecurity. :-)

I just wanted to point out that you know you are geek when you read the following line from this article and only have one question...

"the Amazon [editing] system is mostly hand-built, and often super idiosyncratic, very Millennium Falcon meets Battlestar Galactica."

...The new BSG or the old one? And who's piloting because if we have Athena all hooked up or Sam...I'm pretty sure Galactica could get rid of Han and his ship without a second thought.... But if it's the Admiral versus Han, it might take another minute or so.... Hmm...this raises interesting questions.
